We’re seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our Board and help shape our future.

At 54North Homes, we own and manage more than 4,000 homes throughout Yorkshire. We believe in providing good quality, affordable homes that are safe, warm and secure and in supporting our customers to live well in their communities. We put customers at the heart of everything we do and strive to deliver excellent services. This extends beyond the bricks and mortar of our homes to empowering customers and working in partnership to offer a range of support, from training to financial wellbeing.

We’re particularly keen to hear from candidates with expertise in risk and audit, with significant experience of overseeing robust risk management and assurance frameworks. Our new Board Member will share our values and bring relevant strategic level experience which may have been gained in any sector. While a financial qualification would be beneficial, it’s not essential. Your insight will help ensure we maintain strong governance, manage risk effectively and continue to operate as a resilient organisation.

Our Board plays an integral role in setting our strategic direction, shaping our future and making a meaningful impact across Yorkshire. As part of the wider Karbon Group, we benefit from the strength and support of a larger organisation, enabling us to deliver more for our customers and communities.

In addition, we are looking to appoint a Board Member with skills in leading social housing customer services, and one of the successful candidates will also take on the role of Vice Chair. Candidates interested in the Vice Chair opportunity should indicate so when applying and bring prior non-executive experience along with the ability to provide effective support and constructive challenge at Board level.
