Description
We’re seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our Board and help shape our future.
At 54North Homes, we own and manage more than 4,000 homes throughout Yorkshire. We believe in providing good quality, affordable homes that are safe, warm and secure, and in supporting our customers to live well in their communities. We put customers at the heart of everything we do and strive to deliver excellent services. This extends beyond the bricks and mortar of our homes to empowering customers and working in partnership to offer a range of support, from training to financial wellbeing.
We’re particularly keen to hear from candidates with expertise in customer services, with a strong track record of leading customer-focused teams at a senior level within social housing. Our new Board Member will share our values and bring experience of service transformation, improving customer experience and delivering sustainable efficiencies. Your housing sector insight will help us continue to strengthen our services and deliver better outcomes for our customers.
This position offers the chance to work with a talented Board and colleagues, contribute to a socially responsible organisation and help shape services for the better. Our Board plays an integral role in setting our strategic direction, shaping our future and making a meaningful impact across Yorkshire. As part of the wider Karbon Group, we benefit from the strength and support of a larger organisation, enabling us to deliver more for our customers and communities.
In addition, we are looking to appoint a Board Member with skills in risk and audit, and one of the successful candidates will also take on the role of Vice Chair. Candidates interested in the Vice Chair opportunity should indicate so when applying and bring prior non-executive experience along with the ability to provide effective support and constructive challenge at Board level.
We’re committed to diversity and inclusion and encourage applications from individuals from all backgrounds, including those with lived experience of social housing.
